The TG80 allows a machine integrated determination of the workpiece temperature parallel to the primary processing time. It is used for the measurement of temperature variations due to dry machining or monitoring workpieces having strong temperature differences before the machining process.
The determined temperature of the workpiece is transferred to the machine control via infrared data transmission. Machine controls are now able to calculate compensation values and scale the machining program for direct process compensation.
